81 years old Pierre Semengué was elected without an elective mandate!

After administering the league for five years (2011-2016) without an elective mandate, Pierre Semengué (81) was elected on Thursday by his pairs to chair the pro-football body in Cameroon.

The Chairman of the Lfpc Provisional Management Committee (Cpg) obtained 26 votes against 7 for his challenger Frank Happi (46).

The electoral college consists of 35 voters with 18 presidents of the league clubs 1 and 17 presidents of the league clubs 2.

33 of the 35 voters were present during the vote. The Canon of Yaounde was not represented. The delegate of Ums, the current leader of league 1, did not vote because of his late arrival at the Mansel Hotel of Elgi-Essono in Yaoundé; Theater of elections.

3/4 of the voters of the Professional Football League of Cameroon (Lpfc) thus trusted the outgoing president, ie 78% of votes cast in favor of the lucky elected against 22% for his competitor.

The candidate Happi acknowledged his defeat, and therefore the victory of Semengué, before indicating that there will be no recourse against this election.
